Construction
IP 3150 uses a laminate front, which is a different construction to melamine. A high pressure laminate sheet is produced separately from layers of resin soaked kraft paper and a decor layer, then bonded to the board. The result is a thicker, tougher wear layer than a directly coated door, with better impact and scratch resistance around sinks, bins and boot room doors.
The laminate is available in deep matt and in stone, concrete and metal effects that hold up to close inspection because the print run is longer and the emboss is deeper. Edges are laser or hot air bonded on the higher specifications, which removes the visible glue line altogether and gives a seamless edge that resists moisture.
That build makes IP 3150 a sensible choice for houses with damp risk, for utility and boot rooms taking wet coats and dog paws, and for holiday lets where the kitchen has to survive changeover after changeover.
Best suited to: Boot rooms, utilities, family kitchens, holiday lets and any room where the kitchen has to take a beating and still look new in five years.
