Our own fitting team - no subcontracted labour

Kitchen fitters in Edinburgh

We are a kitchen company with our own installation team, not a showroom that hands your job to whoever is free that week. The same people who measure your kitchen are responsible for fitting it, and we can take on the electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring and decorating alongside it.

Fitting only, or supply and fit

Most of our Edinburgh work is supply and fit: we design the kitchen, order it, and install it with our own joiners. But we also take on fitting-only jobs where you have already bought units from a national retailer or online supplier, or where a developer has supplied the kitchen.

Fitting-only work is quoted from your plans and a survey of the room. We will tell you honestly if the units you have bought will cause problems - out-of-square walls, sloping floors, unsupported worktop runs and undersized services are the four things that cause most kitchen installations to go wrong.

What Edinburgh homes actually need

New Town and Marchmont tenements rarely have a square wall or a level floor, and access up a shared stair has to be planned before delivery day. Victorian terraces bring chimney breasts, bay windows and old joists. Newer homes on the city fringe are easier structurally but often have services in awkward places.

We have been fitting kitchens in this city since 1983, so the survey covers all of it: floor levels, wall build-ups, joist direction for island services, waste runs, meter and consumer unit positions, and the practical question of where the skip and the van go on a residential street.

One team, one point of contact

A kitchen installation is rarely just joinery. Sockets move, a hob needs its own circuit, a tap needs a new feed, walls need making good, flooring goes down, and everything needs painting afterwards. We carry all of that in house, which is the difference between a two-week programme and a two-month one.

You get one contact from the first drawing to final handover, and one company responsible if something needs putting right. Every installation carries our guarantee.

Common questions

Do you use subcontracted kitchen fitters?
No. Installations are carried out by our own team, with qualified electricians, plumbers and gas engineers we work with continuously rather than one-off labour hired per job.
Will you fit a kitchen I have bought somewhere else?
Yes. We take on fitting-only work in Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Send us the plans and unit list and we will quote from them, and flag anything in the specification likely to cause problems on site.
How long does fitting an average Edinburgh kitchen take?
A typical kitchen is two to four weeks on site depending on how much building work, flooring and decoration is included. A straightforward replacement in the same layout can be quicker.
Do you fit kitchens in tenement flats?
Frequently. Access, stair protection, delivery timing and out-of-square walls are all covered at survey stage, and cabinetry is scribed to fit rather than forced into place.
Do I need to move out while the kitchen is fitted?
Most clients stay in the house. We set up a temporary kettle and microwave point where we can, and keep the dust and noise phases as short as the programme allows.
