German kitchens via our sister company

Schüller kitchens in Scotland

Schüller German kitchens, supplied through our sister company and designed, delivered and installed by our own Edinburgh team - anywhere in mainland Scotland.

Talk to us about a Schüller kitchen

Schüller Möbelwerk has been building kitchens in Herrieden, Bavaria since 1966 and is one of the few German manufacturers still family owned. It sits a step above the volume German brands on finish quality and range depth, with the premium next125 line above it.

We supply Schüller through our sister company, which means you get the brand's cabinetry with our design, project management and installation behind it - one team from first drawing to handover, and a 5-year guarantee on our workmanship.

Why people choose Schüller over a volume German kitchen

Schüller's appeal is breadth without dropping into budget territory. Almost every door style is available across a wide colour spread, cabinet heights and widths step in fine increments rather than a handful of sizes, and the carcase and hardware specification stays consistent whether you buy at the lower or upper end of the range.

In practice that matters most in awkward rooms. Being able to specify a 15cm filler cabinet, a taller wall unit or a non-standard worktop height is the difference between a kitchen that looks designed and one that looks assembled from what was available.

How a Schüller kitchen is put together

Cabinets are made to order in Germany and shipped as rigid units, not flat-pack, so nothing is assembled on your floor. Carcases are moisture-resistant board with edges sealed on all sides, drawers run on Blum or Hettich soft-close runners with concealed damping, and hinges are adjustable in three planes so doors can be aligned properly at handover rather than approximately.

Door fronts run from matt and gloss lacquer through to real timber veneer, textured melamine reproductions and glass. Handleless is available as a true recessed-rail system or as a J-pull grip profile, and both can be mixed with handled fronts in the same room - useful when tall units want a handle and base drawers do not.

Schüller, Impuls or handmade - how to decide

Impuls is the value-engineered German option: excellent internal fittings, quick lead times, strong at the mid market. Schüller sits above it on finish depth, colour choice and cabinet flexibility. Our own Cameron Bespoke handmade cabinetry sits alongside both for in-frame, hand-painted, made-to-the-millimetre work.

Because all of them are designed by the same team here, you are not being steered - you can see the same layout quoted in two or three specifications and compare line by line. Most clients end up choosing on finish and budget rather than on brand.

Designed in Edinburgh, installed across Scotland

Design starts from your plans or measurements, in the showroom at 24 Dalziel Place or by video call. We survey the room before anything is ordered, so the quote you sign is the price you pay.

Worktops in Dekton, Silestone, Corian, Systemo, stone and timber are templated after the cabinetry is in. Blanco sinks, Quooker taps and AEG appliances are supplied and commissioned by us. Electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring and decoration are all available in-house if you want the whole job under one contact.

Schüller door styles and finishes

Schüller's catalogue is deep - these are the families most Scottish projects draw from. We will bring the right samples to your appointment rather than walk you through the full book.

Matt lacquer, handled and handleless

Smooth painted fronts in a wide colour spread, in handled, J-pull or recessed-rail handleless. The default choice for contemporary Scottish new builds and extensions.

Textured and anti-fingerprint matt

A fine-textured matt surface that resists fingerprints and marks far better than flat gloss - worth specifying on dark colours and on any kitchen with children in it.

Timber veneer and reproduction oak

Real veneer where you want genuine grain, or high-quality timber reproduction where you want the look with more resilience. Both pair well with painted islands.

Gloss and lacquered glass

Deep gloss lacquer and glass-fronted doors for reflective, light-gaining layouts - effective in tenement kitchens and north-facing rooms.

Framed and classic fronts

Schüller's more traditional door profiles, for period Edinburgh and Glasgow properties where a flat slab would look wrong but a full handmade in-frame kitchen is beyond the budget.

next125 - the premium line

Schüller's upper-tier brand, with slimmer sightlines, ceramic and satin-glass fronts and a more architectural cabinet system. Available on request for higher-specification projects.

Schüller kitchen questions

Can I buy a Schüller kitchen in Edinburgh?
Yes. We supply Schüller through our sister company and design, deliver and install it ourselves from our Edinburgh base, anywhere in mainland Scotland including the Highlands.
Is Schüller better than Nobilia or Impuls?
Different, rather than simply better. Schüller generally offers deeper finish quality and more cabinet flexibility than the volume German brands, at a higher price point. Impuls is stronger on value and lead time. We quote the same layout in more than one specification so you can compare properly.
What does a Schüller kitchen cost in Scotland?
It depends far more on kitchen size, worktop and appliances than on the badge. Our Scottish kitchen cost guide sets out realistic bands by room size, and every quote we issue is itemised so you can see exactly where the money goes.
How long does a Schüller kitchen take to arrive?
Cabinets are built to order in Germany, so allow around 5-6 weeks from a signed order and final survey through to delivery. We book installation to the delivery date, not before it.
Do you fit Schüller kitchens or only supply them?
Both. Supply-only is available if you have your own trades, or we install with our own team and carry the electrical, plumbing, plastering, flooring and decorating work as well.
Can I see Schüller in your showroom?
Our Edinburgh showroom displays our Impuls and handmade cabinetry, and we bring Schüller doors, finishes and hardware samples to your appointment. Appointments are one-to-one - by appointment only.
Is Schüller a handleless kitchen system?
It can be. Schüller offers a true recessed-rail handleless system and a J-pull grip profile, as well as conventional handled doors, and the styles can be mixed within one room.
